The Tour
Day 1 : Sunday :: Arrival
You will be greeted at the airport in Mendoza by one of our TMW representatives. They will be standing in the receiving line with a sign with your name on it. From the airport will be a thirty minute ride to your Hotel.
Hotel
We will check you in to your room at the beautiful Hotel Adelgisa. You may see your Hotel on the Accommodations page of this site. This hotel has an outdoor pool, spa, WIFI internet, telephone, business center, dining area, security, its own vineyard and a bi-lingual staff.
Matias, your Host lives only five minutes from the hotel so he will always be available to you. Here you will rest and relax to recover from your journey. Matias will join you for dinner and discuss the plans for the week. This hotel is twenty minutes from downtown Mendoza. It is a very quiet location.
Day 2 : Monday :: Wine tour
After a relaxed breakfast you will be picked up at your hotel and taken to your first winery. On average you will be visiting four wineries a day with a break for lunch.
Every day you will enjoy a new restaurant with something special. This is not your typical buffet style or set menu lunch. You may order anything on the menu! The first bottle of wine is included. There will also be bread, cheese and bottled water included on the bus.
Day 3 : Tuesday :: Same schedule
You will also be enjoying dinner in a different restaurant every night.
Day 4 :Wednesday :: Activity day
On this day you will have the option to choose an outing. You can see the list of activities on our Activities link. Lunch of course is included. You will have time to rest before dinner and if you choose you may go out for a night on the town with your guide for dancing in one of Mendoza’s many hot spots.
Day 5 : Thursday :: Same as day 2 and 3 with cooking class!
Dinner on this night will be at the Hotel and hosted by our own Argentine chef. She will teach you how to prepare typical Argentine cuisine.
Day 6 : Friday :: Tupangato
Today you will check out of your Hotel and be taken to Tupangato, a smaller town about one hour from Mendoza. It is in this town where you will find vineyards at much higher elevations. You will be checked into the Salentine Winery and Hotel. Lunch and winery tour will be here for the day. In the evening dinner will be served at a small ranch featuring a typical Argentine BBQ and traditional Argentine folk music.
Day 7 : Saturday :: Check out of Hotel
You will check out of your hotel and head back to Mendoza with a winery stop along the way. Lunch will follow at tour of the beautiful Zuccardi winery. After lunch you will visit the city to do any shopping before you are taken to the airport.
A complete itinerary with a list of wineries and restaurants will be provided when you book the tour.
Due to the fact that most wineries are closed on Sunday’s we set the tours arrival day on Sunday. Arrangements can be made if the situation should arise that you arrive early or have a later departure date.
